Huellas

From my view out of the chapel window at the novitiate house, depending on the time of the year, I can watch the beauty of the sun rising in the morning and the different colors of the sun reflecting off the clouds in the evening as it sets. One recent evening as I was admiring the pinks, purples, and oranges in the clouds as the sun set, I began thinking in amazement of all of God’s creations throughout the world including in each one of us. In that moment felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude thinking of all the gifts I have received and all the different ways He is constantly walking with me. This gratitude is a gift I have been living more profoundly since experiencing the thirty-day Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, in the beauty of the mountains and valley of Loyola, Spain in February and March of this year. Se dice que una aventura es un viaje de resultado incierto. Difícilmente se me podría ocurrir mejor definición para cualquier vida… A lo largo de la experiencia de ejercicios de mes, resonaba con fuerza una invitación de Dios a confiar y a ir haciendo camino con Él, aún sin seguridades, sin claro destino. Una invitación a aventurarme. Eso sí, el Señor, que me conoce bien y sabe que soy poco dada a la improvisación, se aseguró de hacer llegar esta invitación junto con algunas recomendaciones (al fin y al cabo, ningún padre podría resistirse a dar unos consejos antes de un viaje, mucho menos un Dios Padre-Madre…). Estos me llegaron de la mano de las Bienaventuranzas. Hoy os las comparto. Aventúrate pobre. No tomes nada por tuyo. Disfruta y regala lo que recibes, que Yo seré tu riqueza. Aventúrate mansa. Confiada en las manos de tu Padre, que te llevan con amor y cuidado. Y así, dejándote conducir, recibirás tu herencia de hija, porque Yo podré ejercer de Padre. Aventúrate sea cua...
